We are excited many of our fellow members are returning to experience Heartland 2021 live.  Your health is important to us!

VGM Heartland Conference will require all attendees to confirm that they are not displaying symptoms of COVID-19 and have not recently been exposed to anyone who tested positive. If they do have symptoms or have been exposed, they are not allowed to attend, and registration will be refunded.

Are classes recorded?

The 2021 Heartland Conference will not record classes and sessions. However, several will be live-streamed as well as available on-demand through Heartland Virtual registration.

Can I bring a guest?

Only if they buy a guest pass. This will give them access to social events ONLY—educational sessions and classes are not included. An attendee pass allows only the holder (you) entrance.

Is there a dress code?

We recommend business casual while attending Heartland events. Iowa can be hot, humid, and cold on the same day.  We recommend layers while at the conference.

Where should I go if I need help finding a class?

Check out our on-site information page. There we have a list of each help desk and the questions they can answer. But to save you a click, it’s the Guest Services Desk.

Are there food accommodations?

Of course! Each meal will include vegan- and gluten-free options. If you have a food allergy, let us know and we’ll set aside a special meal for you.

How do I set up a VGM tour?

Signs will be displayed directing you to signup for the VGM tours. A VGM employee will reserve a spot on the shuttle for you to get you to our headquarters. *Pending Covid-19 updates

When is the final day to register?

We encourage all attendees to register prior to Sept 1st.  However, if you’d like to benefit from early bird pricing, be sure to register before the cutoff date.

What’s with all these cookies?

What can we say, we love cookies! Our freshly baked cookies are handmade by VGM's employees and are complimentary, so be sure to take one…or two…or three…or as many as you’d like while at Heartland. Enjoy!

Has Coronavirus caused cancellation of the conference?

Heartland Conference 2021 has been moved to Sept. 13-15 and is currently on track to celebrate Heartland's 20th anniversary in Waterloo, Iowa.

How are you monitoring the Coronavirus situation?

The health and safety of the VGM Heartland community of attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff is our highest priority. VGM Heartland is closely monitoring the latest government recommendations and announcements related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on our conference. VGM has a pandemic task force assembled that will advise us to recommendations as Heartland 2021 nears.

Are refunds available if I register and the conference is cancelled?

Heartland Conference attendees may cancel their registration without penalty at any time.  If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 within 2 weeks of the event, please do not attend in person.   Please contact the conference office at events@vgm.com for assistance and further information
