Michael Babinec

Michael Babinec, OTR/L, ABDA, ATP, is the product manager for power wheelchair electronics and seating and positioning products for the Invacare Corporation, a RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Practitioner, and Senior Disability Analyst/Diplomate on the American Board of Disability Analysts. Michael is a licensed occupational therapist with nearly 30 years experience in rehabilitation, seating and mobility. He developed an interest in Assistive Technology as a student therapist in 1977, and has held that interest ever since. Clinical experience includes working as an occupational therapist in acute, skilled, and rehab hospital settings with a large variety of disabilities. Prior to leaving his clinical duties for a position with Invacare in 1995, he worked for 11 years in a large rehab hospital where he developed a computer access rehab program as well as provided clinical services for the wheelchair and seating clinics.
