Laurie Rappl

Laurie Rappl has practiced physical therapy since 1979. She sustained a spinal cord injury in 1980 and has the unique perspective of personal experience with her own stage 4 ulcer. To assist her health maintenance, Laurie introduced the Isch-Dish seat cushion in '89. Since 1992, she has authored journal articles and book chapters on positioning and wound management, and is an invited speaker at regional, national and international conferences on the topics of support surfaces, seating and positioning for wound management. She is currently the clinical support manager for Span-America.
