Velma Goertzen

Velma Goertzen, RN, is strategic planning facilitator for A Step Ahead Consulting in Inman, Kan. She has served in several capacities in the health care industry for more than 20 years, including as a general manager for a Kansas regional HME with three locations. She reorganized the company and led it through five successful Joint Commission surveys. She was named the NAMES Supplier of the Year in 1993. She currently consults with HME companies in the areas of strategic planning leadership training, activity based costing, and operational process improvement.
