Optimizing Warehouse Operations Using Lean 5S

Course Description:

The Lean 5S session will provide attendees with information and knowledge about creating a more efficient and cost-effective distribution operation. Attendees will be introduced to basic workplace design principles that can help to optimize pick paths, pick accuracy, and reduce inventory loss. This session will also provide attendees with real-world examples of successful 5S HME operations. Lean tools relating to 5S will also be made available to attendees.

Learning Objectives:

1. Discuss 5S concepts for optimizing warehouse organization and efficiency
2. Identify the basic visualization techniques relating to signage, labeling, storage, and overall warehouse layout
3. Explain the lean tools and concepts that can be applied to both warehouse and office operations
4. Create a more efficient and cost-effective distribution operation
