Course Description:

Lean thinking concepts were first developed by Toyota and have since spread to many service-based organizations and to many hospitals and other healthcare providers. Users of lean concepts have reduced waste, decreased wait times, improved their service, and enhanced their customer service- all while gaining better outcomes. HME providers can apply the same lean concepts and obtain similar results. In an environment of decreasing reimbursement and rising costs, there has never been a better time for HME providers to look to other organizations and begin to adopt some of their best practices.
